Shane Sherbondy, MD — Psychiatrist   «TOP
Dr. Sherbondy has more than 20 years experience in the field of Psychiatry. He received his Medical Degree at Loma Linda University and completed his residency and fellowship at USC. Dr. Sherbondy provides treatment for patients in his private practice, Sherbondy's Psychiatric Services. His credentials include Board Certification in General Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and Addiction Medicine.



Donna Ambrose, APRN, CNS — Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner   «TOP
Ms. Ambrose graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Master's Degree in Psychiatric Nursing, specializing in Adult Mental Health Nursing. She is also certified in cognitive therapy by the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy. Ms. Ambrose has more than 10 years experience in various psychiatric settings spanning the ages from adolescent to geriatric. As an Advanced Practice Nurse, Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist, she sees new patients for initial evaluations, diagnosing psychiatric conditions, prescribing medication, and providing psychotherapy when needed.

Tammie Gainey, MSN, APRN, FNP   «TOP
Ms. Gainey graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Master’s degree in Nursing, specializing in Family Nurse Practitioner. Ms. Gainey has 10 years experience as a Nurse Practitioner with over 5 years experience treating psychiatric diagnoses spanning from adolescent to geriatric in various settings. As an Advanced Practice Nurse, she sees patients for initial evaluations, diagnosing psychiatric conditions, and prescribing medication.


Lavena S. Wilkes, APRN – Psychiatric /Mental Health Nurse Practitioner   «TOP
Ms. Wilkes received her Master's Degree as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2009 and has over 25 years of experience working in psychiatric and substance abuse settings. Ms. Wilkes utilizes a holistic approach in completing evaluations, diagnosing, and prescribing medications as well as incorporating psychotherapy and lifestyle interventions. She is nationally credentialed to work with psychiatric/mental health clients of all ages and is currently accepting new patients age 12 through adulthood.

Elizabeth W. Shatten, APRN- Adult Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner   «TOP
Ms. Shatten has been providing health care to psychiatric/mental health patients for over 17 years. After completing a BS in Nursing and a BA is Psychology from Clemson University, Elizabeth received her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri and earned her Board Certification as an Adult Psychiatric /Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Beginning her career with crisis intervention and stabilization of patients in a hospital setting, her treatment experience with medication management and therapy covers primarily adults with a wide variety of psychiatric illnesses, including mood and anxiety disorders. Elizabeth was recognized as a 2014 Daisy Foundation Award winner for her outstanding dedication to her profession and delivering compassionate care to her patients.

Carin LaBoon, MA, LPC — Therapist   «TOP
Ms. LaBoon attended Webster University, where she received her Master's Degree and License in Counseling. She is American Society of Addiction Medicine trained and has worked in counseling settings such as private, mental health, family preservation, residential, and addictions. Ms. LaBoon's specialties include depression, anxiety, stress management, women's issues (including post-partum depression), and adjustment issues. She currently treats patients age 6 through adulthood.


Wendy Frisby
, Ed.S., LMFT — Therapist   «TOP
Ms. Frisby is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who received her Educational Specialist Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Converse College. She treats a variety of diagnoses including depression, anxiety, anger issues and school behavioral difficulties. She has experience in residential treatment, group homes and private settings. She works with school-aged children, teenagers and adults and provides therapy to individuals, couples and families. Her formal training takes a family systems approach and she incorporates the use of several therapeutic approaches which include cognitive-behavioral therapy, collaborative therapy and solution focused therapy.
